When did you spin up Pixelfed? I'm on the .social instance, I think it is, but I seldom take photos ...
in reply to Jas Bird

@Jas Bird Pixelfed has been running for a while. I just never use it. Doesn't meet my 'Audience Control' requirements.

On the surface, Forte and Streams are almost identical, but the difference is...Forte is being built on ActivityPub. Forte is still a bit buggy from my experience.
I do believe Streams development was picked up by someone, but I would have to look up who picked it up.
in reply to Christopher on Streams

Mike just released new versions of Streams and Forte today, so it's not abandoned. But yes, he has announced that he is officially retired, so updates will come if/when he feels like working on them.

It would be amazing if n ≥ 1 new developers would join these projects.

I like the Friendica UI. However it stores a massive amount of data per user. I tested it with just one local user account and it stored gigabytes in the database in just a few days. Multi-user would likely have needed several terabytes storage.

in reply to OCTADE

@OCTADE I'm really torn between Friendica and Forte. I'm not terribly concerned about the storage issue. I'm fortunate to have plenty of resources on my server. Hubzilla and Streams are also great, though.
